One of my customers is a member of a driving club here. He also volunteers at the Carriage museum where they just completed a 3 year project of hand building a complete Casson. They mounted a cannon from the 1884 war and today they drove it with a 2 team hitch through the city. Was great to see. I have more pics on Facebook if anyone wants to see them. One of the horses is one I repaired a quarter crack on last winter.
"Over hill, over dale As we hit the dusty trail, And those caissons go rolling along. In and out, hear them shout, Counter march and right about, And those caissons go rolling along. Refrain: Then it's hi! hi! hee! In the field artillery, Shout out your numbers loud and strong, For where e'er you go, You will always know That those caissons go rolling along. In the storm, in the night, Action left or action right See those caissons go rolling along Limber front, limber rear, Prepare to mount your cannoneer And those caissons go rolling along........"
