    Folks who use leather for pads might be interested to know that it is going up again . looks like 5%

    those darn endangered cattle. If only there was a rescue, to save those steers so they could live long enough to provide us with those great steaks and good quality leather

    Brian,

    I don t think that it is "endangered cattle" i think it s the cost to feed/raise the cattle, transport the hide,process the hide into leather, pack the leather to transport to the dealer, transport the leather to the dealer, and pay everyone who has a hand in all the processes, I was going to say "steak" in all the processes.

    Actually there is some truth to endangered. There are less cattle in the US than there where 60 years ago and numbers have been on a significant decline the past 5 years.

    Justin and Brian,

    can t won t argue the cattle population/endangerment...............but I will state ,the price of sole leather, like what is often used for horseshoe pads is going up approx. 5%usd.............

    Leather is still pretty cheap, when you look at it that way. I agree.
