what does all that mean Eric? you know me not to clever with the computer stuff do i have to down load one of those sites first and are those sites free?
If you are not that good with pooters, YouTube is probably going to be the easiest option for you. I can send you simple instructions if you want
If i can help it Gary i would sooner use any of the others Eric mentioned i dont like youtube but thanks for that
Ok, but if you are anything like me, you will find all of the things that you don't like about YouTube in the other sites. The only way to get round that is to open a free web hosting account and upload your files to that. A little more complicated, but not that bad
No, there are loads of them... http://chaos-laboratory.com/2007/08/30/top-31-free-alternatives-to-youtube-video-hosting-sites/
Smitty, I went through this whole process a little while ago. I hate YouTube just as much as I hate Facebook, I have a Facebook account just to keep an eye on my kids. After trying the same sort of search that you are doing now, I ended up getting a free web hosting site, uploading my videos to that and sharing them from there, but it was not without its disadvantages. In the end, I tried YouTube because it's all that my son can access on his phone at college and I found out the following: 1. you can upload your video in any format and any resolution - in fact YouTube say the higher the better, so straight off your camera, if you like. 2. you don't have to have your films on public release. You can control who sees them 3. it's fast to upload 4. it's easy cos everyone knows it and knows how to use it so you can share your vids a lot more easily than trying to direct someone to the correct page or directory on your webhosts server. I still don't like it, but it seems the best option. Just trying to save you some time.
Thanks, Gary, I'm a numnut when it comes to these things as well. But I have also found that if you have pictures on your computer, it's easier to hit "upload a file", choose the picture, click it, hit open, and it appears under your post and then click on it and it goes into your post. Much easier than photobucket. Sorry to those who already know this.
