Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has an answer. I expect not, but a there are a lot of very clever and talented people on this forum, so I'll ask: Does anyone know of a way to fix a sprung heel on a shoe without removing the shoe?

    Regards

    Rick,

I ve seen folk squeeze the shoe puller in front of the bend and then hammer down with a couple whacks on the sprung heel, I never thought it a great method, but have done it a couple times when time constraints called for something. Would only work on light weight materials.

Course the other way is kinda old fashioned, pull the shoe, flatten, nail it up

    Regards

The section is usually 3/4 X 5/16. The why would be if I were 50 miles in the wrong direction, or due to time constraints. Thanks for the idea Ray, it's an idea, although I probably would just take the shoe off before trying it. I haven't had much experience with sprung heels, so thanks for the idea.

I show my clients who I think are capable and willing how to pull a shoe. I often suggest that they can use a fencing tool as a crease nail puller. But to be honest, most of them want no part of it. I only have two, both men, that can or will nail a shoe back on.

    Regards
