Any info on it, Who spoke did they role there sleeves up and bend some iron. I did a four days with Grant Moon in the winter that was interesting. His generosity with time and advice is unparalleled in the trade. I spent two days with Simon Curtis this year looking at juvenile development, I wish that I had done that when I was in my twenty's not forty's. I will be sending my apprentice (son) up there next year for some experience.
April 12, Rochester NH. Mark Milster. Made some shoes, shod a horse, gave advice on trimming, balancing. measuring the foot, and shoeing (and more). Received and answered all questions willingly and professionally. A good day. ( except for the 7 hour drive home ). Regards.
10 hour drive. (Had to 1 up ya Rick) April 17th, Georgetown, TX. Farrier Fest. Chris Gregory Yep bent some iron. Had a good lecture day as well. Very friendly and helpful.
We're supposed to go to clinics?!?!? I thought after we got out of shoeing school we knew all there was to know?!?!?!
Bruce Mathews came down here almost 2 years ago and gave me and MaryAnn our own little clinic on the finer points of trimming! Then we went to lunch. Does that count?
Any time with Bruce counts, Karen. In your profession couldn't you say you go to a Clinic every day? I went to a clinic last fall and one of the fellows teaching had spent some time under "Johnny Mac's" tutelage. That's our Irish buddy John.
I went to a clinic with Martin Deacon organised by a vet clinic in my area about 6 weeks ago. There was about 30 farriers there, they treated us to a free sit down meal and there was an hour long slideshow after.
Last one for me was Paul Robinson probley the best i been at under the horse and in the fire 1st class
Interesting to see what an examiner defines as been correct. There was some lads that took home a lot from it.
Last Clinic, 2 days ago. Took a green horn and turned her loose some FEI jumpers. I learned something. She gained a bit a confidence. For her to turn shoes; John Mac if he was closer but John Scruggs will do.
I would "realish" the chance for you, John, to bust the peeps that work for me. It would be an honour. Although, yu'uns would have pass me test(s).
