. Marc, did you notice she's in England?

Seems that barefoot, bit less parelli crap is drifting here in the fringes

Horses tolerate clippers quite well, and horses learn to tolerate a hot shoe sizzling and burning the hoof. Do you think a grinder is really that scary?

I used the grinder today in this cronic founder with hooves, hard like stone. I know the grinder 30 years ago.I used some times in cows in stock. I want say whit that one I m not a n aprendices for the grinder.

But each time that I use the grinder near a hoof,it scares me.

A few years ago I posted some pics of a "chronic foundered" pony. Used grinder and glue ons. I caught the perverbal "Hell" from the "Britannia" forums of farriers. Guess Gabino and I are not the "True Traditionalist"? Trimmers using grinders are lazy Fks.

Rarely, rarely used in my remuda.

I had started a post kinda like this one then just droped ..my was to add I never would have guessed in America that we where such a rowdy loud bunch that they had to train horses to keep still to the point of only moving if hit by a car.. and of course Thomas is worried our idiotic ways are drifting across the pond..lol.. but is that post gone now..

A lot of guys use grinders to take off the nail heads on Reining horse sliders. I have used a Sawsall on a very long curly toe! But to trim! Nah. The way she is standing in the picture if that blighter kicks out she will be sporting the current Princess Di look!

A few of my Uncles drifted across the pond back in the 1940s. That's why folks in the UK don't send their tax checks to Berlin.

Some idiot even invited parelli to a big event over here!

Mind you he did himself no favours and went down like a lead balloon with a hell of a lot of criticism and negative publicity.

Experienced professionals like yourself wouldnt find it a problem, I would be scared if the horse pulled back that I sliced it or myself. 99% of my clients would have heart failure if I brought that out to trim with but having said that I've had some have a shock when I've used a dremel on a hoof wall until I explained what I was doing and how much more effective it is.

    Sure nice lookin girl
I kiss er on the bum
Id also kick her arse if she trimmed my horse like that
Ive used angel grinders to cut rams horn type hooves on horses and hack saws and towing knibes struck with hammers with hoof on ground or block I will use a resiprecating was in the future as I just aquired one
If the vet is there to sedate if needed
other than I will continue to use traditional methods as they do seen to work fairly well i think

The point I think with this young lady that annoys me the most is her belief in others ability from reading her E Book. It is one thing that she uses a grinder and for all I or anyone else Knows she is an expert with it.
But through her marketing she will convince others that this is a procedure all can achieve. Is it greed or ignorance?
That plain and simple is a welfare issue.
Hell I dont let apprentices use a new rasp until they have been 6 months under a horse.

my point was, it is much easier to sell this crap/teach barefoot dogma than it is to trim/shoe for a living. maybe it's "sour grapes" on my part but folks of her ilk make me nuts...

Some of you good folk will remember me going crook about Hoofters at least 8years ago
the hoofter movement has been rampant down here at least that long and I had checked it out some years befor that
When I got on forums going crook about some of the people that were the rat bags about hooftering every horse that lived and WE the traditional Farrier were a boof headed boffoons mindlessly bashing evil steel on horses hooves I was castergated with replies of If I was any good and comfident I wouldnt have to worry about hoofters
Hoofters pinch CREAM the easie work we do the better profit per job the easier service to provide that costs us less to do so the ability to be able to afford to put an apprentice on
I use to say the plage was on the win
Now its far to late its landed n there into the crops big time
Dont be resting to much on you lourels n chattin me for this post
These hoofters all start out lovely just wanting to look better after their own horse and then see the $$$$ signs
that sweet lill thing or good young fella you tried to help get started and her friends are caning you n you methods which by the way they are still useing under a different lable while pinching any desent thing they are game enough to get under and leaving anything that,ll kick the gutz outta ya untill you get to sorted and the the friggen air theives will swipe that as well it they can

Like I say Ive little or no time for these people
Learn the HOLE Trade of Traditional Farriery or get to buggery out of it and help provide a position for some good kid that wants to , realy wants to
the rectum rejects from Farriery schools al over that found they wouldnt or couldnt cut if in the real world of Farriery now running all over the world teaching hooftery to hoofters have a lot to answer for
Im into Farriery for a number of reasons not only is it steaped in tradition its the sort of salt of the earth , the begining of every thing ever and used all mediums earth stone wood iron fire to build , tools wepons mashinery boats planes man on the noon
all come about because a bloke hit a hot bit of primitive iron n made something
Its the true admiration n respect of the horse n the desire to better look after n help it in its work
I dont think hooferes realy get were I or folks like me are comming from on this
If the did they wouldnt be so disrespectful n maybe theyd have tried to become a Traditional Farrier
maybe they wouldnt have to spend hours bs ing folks and be able to to a funtional trin in 10 to 15 minutes
maybe they would realy know n understand how good it feels to know you realy did help that horse n feel good about yourself n the trade even if the owners n the hoofters dont

I know of several hoofters that suck up to him
He and one of his cronies down here wanted me to get involves in fitting or teaching the hoofter to fit his lazer tips so called because they are cut with a lazer cutter
I told them we have been useing grass tips for eyons and we made our own on site as needed
I asked why would you hoofters want to use such you friggen hippocrites
slagged trype outta us for mindlessly bashing shoes n nails onto and into horses feet
Oh there easier than boots and some of the bare foot horses were going lame because or the sand arenas wearing the sole calus at the toe
would I teach her to fit lazer tips
    NO send them to me
I would feed bowe n his cronies on mouldy rabbits gutz sandwich sangers
Id like to drown a thirst with you some day soon Owen
but we probabley get real ugly talking about what wed do to hoofters
The big shame is the damage they do and the horse copes it in the foot
I dont always get it right either O man but I dont get it wrong as often as some of these jokers
We the Farriers have well n truly learnt from our mistakes
most of the hoofters are just starting out

O man I gess i just dont get the magoority of these people
Ive met some very smart n competant indeviduals among them but to the most part they seem far to one sided n narrow minded in their beliefes to be handy
to many ungrateful or realy appreceative of the efforts Farriers have put in to get what they the so often so freely gave to the budding hoorter
It would see like a pack of jackels they thrive feeding on each other and the quid in the making is fair game
If they were just ripping each other off it wouldnt be so bad but sadly theres more to it than that
the horse often the biggest looser
I have said befor Several I personaly know are very astute and would esly put me to shame in a quiz on anatomy many I

O man I guess i just don't get the majority of these people
Ive met some very smart n competent individuals among them but to the most part they seem far to one sided n narrow minded in their beliefs to be realy handy
to many ungrateful or realy unappreciative of the efforts Farriers have put in to get what they then so often so freely gave to the budding hoofter
It would seem like a pack of jackals they thrive feeding on each other and the quid in the making is fair game in a game with little or no rules
If they were just ripping each other off it wouldn't be so bad but sadly there is more to it than that
the horse often the biggest looser
I have said before Several Ive personally known are very astute and would easily put me to shame in a quiz on anatomy ,many I read on the net impress me as well , sadly some of these good folk just dont put good product to floor often sweeping to much to corner , they are to one sided and although appear to be in love with the horse and there biggest defender n champion , and heart in the right place wittingly or not fail the poor beast miserably
For me if it came to just making money and forsaking the horse and the kindness n help from friends Id leave it n go back to opperating plant
Im short fat n fugkey and so very much to learn but Im happy with what I see in the mirror
